This album demonstrates compositional techniques which were
developed between 2009 - 2018. I've always had a tough time trying to record something which is meant to sound "live" while in the studio. Without an audience there, the whole thing tends to come out a
little flat. No idea why this is, but I developed these compositional tools in order to better simulate a live experience.

They are a set of rules which constrain potential pseudo-random choices in different ways. These have always worked pretty well,
but by this point at the end of 2020 I'm feeling that they might be wearing a bit thin--it may be time for a new rule-book. I figured we'd give it one last go to acknowledge our debt to this set of techniques, and then never use them again.

Or at least try not to. We'll see.
